Along the River During the Qingming Festival

About This Range

Along the River During the Qingming Festival (Qingming Shanghe Tu) is a handscroll painting by the Song dynasty painter Zhang Zeduan (1085–1145). It captures the daily life of people and the landscape of the capital. The painting was painted with ink and colour on sil, and is considered to be the most renowned work among all Chinese paintings. It has also been called as the “China’s Mona Lisa.”

We have chosen 25 barrels of Glen Moray from the Speyside region to accompany with the painting, the set contains 25 parts of the painting and together the entire painting will be rolled out like the original masterpiece in front of you.

By nose, you will sense the fresh, grassy, floral, light nutty smells as you just walked into the landscape of the capital. With just a sip, you will feel the silkiness when the whisky slowly run down your throat, glentle and well balanced just like the calm daily life presented in the painting.
