About This Range

The Chinese Culture Symbol Range

Five Virtues. Five Whiskies. One Philosophy.

Inspired by the enduring values of Ru Jia (儒家) — the Confucian tradition — our Chinese Culture Symbol Range pays tribute to the Five Constant Virtues: Benevolence (仁), Righteousness (义), Propriety (礼), Wisdom (智), and Trustworthiness (信).

Each expression in this series is carefully matched with a distinguished Scottish distillery, chosen not only for its character and craftsmanship, but for the spirit it embodies.

仁 • Benevolence

A gentle, harmonious single malt—soft floral notes, honeyed finish.
Selected from a Speyside distillery known for its warmth and grace.

义 • Righteousness

Bold and balanced with integrity—oak spice, depth, and structure.
Chosen from a Highland cask that reflects moral clarity and strength.

礼 • Propriety

Refined, elegant, and deeply layered—subtle fruit, polished wood, and precision.
Representing the grace of ritual and tradition from a Lowland source.

智 • Wisdom

Complex and thought-provoking—smoke, sea salt, and aged maturity.
An Islay malt with depth and discernment, for those who seek insight.

信 • Trustworthiness

Reliable, enduring, and smooth—vanilla, malt, and steady sweetness.
A classic Speyside or Highland malt that evokes confidence and constancy.

Each bottle is accompanied by calligraphy of its virtue, bilingual notes, and symbolic artwork connecting Scottish craftsmanship with Chinese philosophy—bridging two cultures through the universal language of whisky.

This is not just a drink. It’s a conversation between East and West, a tribute to virtue, and a celebration of timeless values in every pour.
